Ken Porter Construction

Considered a master craftsman by clients, colleagues, and competitors alike, Ken Porter takes old fashioned American pride in every job he undertakes no matter how large or small. He rarely subcontracts because it’s difficult to find people as particular about their work as he is. He is now specializing in trim work, examples of which are pictured on the Custom Trim page.

A native of Garrettsville, Ohio, Porter has been living, working, and raising his children in Northeast Ohio as has his family for nearly 200 years.

He began construction work in high school and mastered the techniques of laying floors, setting concrete, remodeling kitchens, and building houses, pole barns, cabinetry—all the elements of building.

In 1990, Porter started his own business building and remodeling houses. His cabinetry and trim work are particularly sought after. He also does general contracting, overseeing the completion of jobs and coordinating sub-contractors.

All images on the site are of items that were built by Ken except for the one on top of the toy box, at right, which was built by Ken and his wife.
